Further details on session: There are many decisions to make about managing your data before you even start creating/collecting it, it is important to have a data management plan (DMP) in place, as good preparation ensures you will manage your data most efficiently. Many funders now require a DMP to be submitted with grant proposals.

Aims: We will take you through the main elements of the Data Management Plan, help you answer some of the most frequently asked questions about Data Management Plans.

Objectives: To provide insight into:

  • Research funders’ expectations for the content of data management plans
  • Tools that are available to help you write one
  • What you should include and common pitfalls to avoid
