Further details on session:
The session is designed for people new to responding to invitations to tender, or who have previously submitted tenders and are keen to increase their chance of success. It will look at how and why the process is used by buyers, how it differs from a grant call, and how bidders can best respond to the opportunity.
During this session staff will have the opportunity to look at the structure and format that can be used for invitations to tender, understand how the buying organisation may evaluate and score tenders, and how to produce a competitive tender.
(i) to be able to clearly identify what the buying organisation wishes to purchase
(ii) to determine whether the opportunity is a good fit with UCLan’s experience
(iii) to be able to consider whether there is sufficient time to develop a strong response, and
whether the expertise we offer is a good match with the requirement
(iv) to understand how to build a strong response in line with both the specification and the
Outcomes: Staff will begin to have an understanding of the process; along with which elements of the tender response would be completed by themselves and GFU, and how to utilise the ITT instructions and guidance to develop a strong response.
